Social Sciences
The Social Sciences Program offers two tracks: Bachelor’s and Licentiate degrees. The Bachelor’s degree was initiated in 1994 under the Department of Social Sciences at UFPB. The current Pedagogical Project, approved by CONSEPE through Resolution No. 18/2006, is designed for those aspiring to pursue research or teaching at the higher education level, work in public or private planning and development organizations, public management agencies, or engage in public policy analysis. The Licentiate Degree was established in 2007 by CONSEPE Resolution No. 45/2007, with the first class beginning in the first semester of 2008. This track focuses on training professionals for roles in teaching, planning, and administration within the field of social science education.
